How To Change Your Project Zomboid Server Name

Ready to give your Project Zomboid server a fresh new identity? Whether you are starting a new run or just want a cooler title for your survival community, changing your server name takes just a few seconds directly from our panel.

Updating your server name makes it much simpler for your friends to find you in the multiplayer server browser.

Changing Your Server Name

You don't need to dig through any complicated configuration files. You can change the name right from your server's settings menu.

1. Log into your MintServers game panel and click the Stop button. Always make sure your server is offline before making changes.
2. On the left-hand sidebar, click on Game Settings.
3. Locate the Server Name text box.
4. Delete the old text and type in your brand new server name.
5. Head back to the console and Start your server back up!

Can't Find Your Server?

If you've followed these steps and your friends still can't find your server in the public browser, make sure they are searching for the exact name you typed in. It can sometimes take a minute or two for the public server list to update.
